Swift Ground Bison Recipes, Smash Burger

Sometimes the week can feel like it ran away from you, and the last thing on your mind is dinner. Looking for meals that take about 30 minutes to prepare and to put in rotation for days when you need something nutritionally dense, swift, and also of value?
We've put together 3 different recipes that use 1lb ground of bison meat sautéed and added to one of these 3 recipes to enjoy. These recipes are healthy, high protein, and an economical meal. See the third recipe of our series below:
Bison Burger smashed
Ingredients
- 1 lb FMR ground bison
- ⅛ cup avocado oil
- Hamburger buns or
- Arugula, mesclun or power salad greens
- Feta
- 1 egg
- 1tbs salt and fresh pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat grill to 550 degrees or a skillet at medium heat
- In medium bowl smash or work with your hands one egg, salt, pepper and avocado oil in 1lb raw ground bison
- Assemble x 3 ¼lb burger patties
- Grill bison patties for about 4 minutes each side
- Serve on toasted bun or naked over greens with feta
